What3Words
What3words is a geocoding system for the communication of locations with a resolution of three metres. The entire world has been assigned 3m squares and each given a unique 3 word address. These addresses will never change and are far easier to type or remember than latitude and longitude coordinates.
As an example, the What3Words location for the ProjectHouse office is ///planet.toads.floating As you can see, “planet.toads.floating” is far easier to type or speak than the coordinates “52.29026, -2.117468” which this address relates too.
This is fast becoming an industry standard and is already used by the emergency services and some car manufactures in satnav systems.
Deploying this in SW2 allows for simple global radius (distance) searching.
